What is the name of soup served at hibachi restaurants?

What is the name of the simple soup served commonly at hibachi restaurants? (Like benihana.)





It isn't miso soup (no tofu, no seaweed). It's just a light simple soup.





I'd like to know what it's called %26amp; how to make it!|||First off, miso doesn't refer to the tofu and seaweed in the soup. Miso is a fermented paste made from soybeans, and it's often used to make soup broth. Tofu and seaweed are just common toppings for miso soup.





Japanese clear soup stock is called dashi. There are lots of different types, usually made from things like fish, sea vegetable, and mushrooms.
