Any thoughts about the Cadillac RLE 1.8 road bike?

I've been thinking about getting my brother a road bike for his birthday in april, and this caught my eye. Frankly, I know little about specs, so I was wondering if anyone could take a look at the site or the info below and tell me what they think.

He's never been on a road bike, but wants to start doing long rides with me. Thanks!

the cadillac bike has some similarities with the bikes from performance. It might be the same manufacturer with diferent labels. Your going to be paying for the cadillac name.

carbon fiber and aluminum might be too stiff for a beginner but the 105 group is pretty good.Any thoughts about the Cadillac RLE 1.8 road bike?
seems ok - shimano 105 is good stuff - everything else looks fine...but Cadillac? price is ok - go for it
