Anyone know of a restaurant that prepares the food in front of you like benihana? Benihana is too expensive!?

Rockville, MD area

Washington Metropolitan area

Thanks :o)|||As mentioned Mongolian Barbeque might fit the bill. BD's - a chain that specializes in Mongolian Barbeque -- has a location in Bethesda (7201 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda MD) or try Tony Cheng's in the District (619 H Street NW). From Dining Guide: "Pick your food out of a cooler then watch the chef grill it. You can also pick out your favorite sauces to go along with your entree." ** Note to any vegetarians or pesci-vegetarians in your party: Alert the chief to clean the grill before cooking your selection.

Also Korean barbeque is usually fixed at your table as are some hot soup dishes. Best we've encountered in the region is Sorak Garden in Annandale VA.|||Mongolian BarBq|||Well you could always go with Subway! Haha or Chipotle! But most Japanese restaurants will have tables where they prepare food in the same way as Benihana and for less money. In Colorado there is a great restaurant called Ai Sushi where they have those kinds of tables.|||Hinode Restaurant
